A diaper cake is a creative gift for the mom to be. This is a collection of diapers (disposable or cloth) rolled and stacked together to resemble a traditional tiered cake. It can have 1, 2, 3 or more tiers. The tiers of diaper cakes are also decorated with baby care items such as bibs, pacifiers, baby socks, bottles, toys, and more.

For making an elegant diaper cake, one has to collect the materials that are required for building it. Some of the materials are like, rubber bands, round cardboard base, ribbons, and pins and of course, diapers. In addition, some baby products like lotion, toys, baby spoons, baby brush and so on. These will help to decorate the baby diaper cake. 

The first step for making a diaper cake is to spin the diapers into cylindrical shape on the round cardboard base, and then tight them with rubber bands. This is used for making the base of the cake.

Then a ribbon is required to round the base of the cake, in order to cover up the rubber bands and to make your it looks cuter. Generally, pink colour ribbon is preferred by which it will be more elegant.

Next, use pins or tape to clutch the diapers firmly. The baby products can be used to decorate it and make it look even more beautiful. Some creativity can be introduced in this step.
